Thank you for checking out my Rally!
I am a 17 year halfpipe skier on the US Freeskiing team. I live in Breckenridge, Colorado, and attend the Keystone Online Highschool. I am scheduled to graduate in December of 2017. This is ahead of schedule and will allow me to focus on my skiing and training.
This is the start of my third year on the US team. I am thankful for all the US team and coaches have to offer me, but it still does not cover 1/4 of my costs.
I am trying to raise funds to attend the Olympic qualifiers this season. With it being an Olympic qualifying year the costs associated with training have doubled and tripled from the last few seasons. In the past we would travel to open public parks to ski; this year all the free parks are charging training fees.
Using my Rally funds:
Any funds that I am fortunate enough to be able to raise will help cover my travel costs for training and competing in the Olympic qualifying events.
Training and Competition Schedule:
September will have gym time and airbag training camps in Park City, Utah.
September and October will be the start of my own snow training. I will be attending a camp in Saas Fe, Switzerland. I will be using my Rally to pay for my plane ticket and lodging while I am in Europe.
November will include gym time and dryland training in Breckenridge along with completion of my highschool classes.
December is the start of the competition season. I am pre-qualified with starts in the Grand Prix at Copper, and the Dew Tour in Breckenridge.
January picks up with another Grand Prix in Aspen and the final Grand Prix in Mammoth.
**US Olympic Team is named after the Mammoth Grand Prix**
February will be the Olympics or Aspen Open and Calgary Open,
March rounds out the season with a trip to Tignes, France for the last World Cup of the season.
I have been very fortunate with where I have grown up. I was first on skis at the age of 1 1/2. I have parents that have always supported me and what I want to do. I skied alot as a child park, pipe, big mountain, and groomers. I feel at home in the halfpipe and decided to try to make a career of it.
I was lucky to do well my first year of competing and ended up on the radar of the US Freeskiing team and their coaches. In 2012 I was invited to my first Project Gold Camp and have had a serious focus ever since!
I want to say thank you to my parents, family, friends, and those companies that I represent for always being on my side! Without you all I wouldn't be where I am today!
