We are almost there!
Thanks so much everyone for all of your support with the 2015 FLY GIRLS fundraising campaign! We are now ending our 3rd week of the camp and we could not be happier. With 2.5 weeks to go we have much more to accomplish. Who will help us reach our goal of $30,000? A special video will be sent to the final booster whom gets our rally to the $30,000 mark!!
WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER! THANK YOU.
Fly Girls Camp 2016!
Thanks to hundreds of supporters and fans, Women's Ski Jumping USA is kicking off another summer Fly Girls Camp as part of our innovative development program for top U.S. juniors.
This year we will see 7 returning Fly Girls athletes who will be aiming to earn a spot on the 2017 FIS World Junior Championship Team which will take place in Park City, Utah January 30 - February 5 2017.
Why We're Raising Funds
The cost of the 5-week-long camp in Park City, Utah is $2,000 per athlete and WSJ-USA is matching up to $1,000 of what each athlete raises (see left).
This annual camp and program is critical in developing the next generation of women Olympic ski jumpers, those who will follow in the footsteps of Lindsey Van, Sarah Hendrickson and Jessica Jerome. The Fly Girls will get the opportunity to train alongside the National Team and be coached by WSJ-USA's Head Program and Development coach Alan Alborn and World Champion Lindsey Van.
This year's camp will concentrate heavily on the three C's: Confidence, Character and Courage. In additional to daily on-hill and off-hill training, the camp will also focus on nutrition, sport psychology and teambuilding.
The Fly Girls annual summer intensive camp is unmatched in its offerings and access to world-class jumping and training. We've worked hard to keep costs at a minimum and have the Park City business community and Utah Olympic Park to thank for generously providing discounts on lodging, services, food and fees.
Funds raised above our goal of $20,000 for Fly Girls Camp will go toward the overall Fly Girls Program so we may continue to offer more spots each summer to up-and-coming young ski jumpers and raise money for a scholarship fund (see below).
In Lieu of a Summer Gala
After six amazing years in a row of hosting an annual gala event in which you helped us raise well over $500,000 for WSJ-USA programs, we're taking a break this summer to focus on other fundraising efforts, like this critical crowdfunding campaign.
By far our most popular program during the gala event has been the ADOPT AN ATHLETE program. Good news! We're still offering the program this year. It's called ADOPT A FLY GIRL. You can have a direct impact on the development of a rising star in women's ski jumping, plus get regular updates from them this season. Just click on the Adopt A Fly Girl swag to the right for $1,000 and away we go!
The Deedee Corradini Fly Girls
In March, cancer took the life of our fearless leader and global game-changer in women's sports. Deedee Corradini not only inspired us, she moved mountains. During the toughest push to get women's ski jumping into the Olympic Games, Deedee once famously said:
"If we don't fight for the next generation of young women ski jumpers, who will?"
Deedee loved the Fly Girls program, building the next generation of young athletes, and believed deeply in its goal to Empower Girls To Never Give Up On Their Dreams.
To honor Deedee's legacy and heart in the U.S. ski jumping movement, we're starting The Deedee Corradini Fly Girl Scholarship Fund. Each year beginning in 2016, the WSJ-USA Board of Directors will award a camp scholarship(s) to a Fly Girl.
There are two ways to support the fund: 1. Click on the "Deedee Scholarship Fund" to the right and sponsor for $500. 2. Donate any amount to this crowdfunding campaign and help us surpass our goal. Funds raised above $20,000 will go toward the Fly Girls Program and the Scholarship Fund.
It's Because of You...
The Women's Ski Jumping movement has persevered, accomplished Olympic-inclusion goals, produced world champions, and provided opportunities for young jumpers THANKS TO YOU! Supporters and volunteers are the lifeline of WSJ-USA and we thank you.
Check out some of the cool swag and sports memorabilia we have to offer as a gift for your support. No amount is too small!

More About Fly Girls
Women's Ski Jumping USA launched Fly Girls in 2014, an innovative athlete development program and branding initiative to recruit and retain young female ski jumpers into a sustainable pipeline from which the highest-caliber athletes will one day be selected to join the National and Olympic teams.
The Fly Girls program is inspired by the ideals and dreams set forth by countless athlete pioneers, coaches, parents, volunteers and supporters who joined together to lead the Olympic women's ski jumping movement in the U.S. and across the globe.
Because of this unique story, Fly Girls is more than an athlete development program. It's a mission with a soul:
to never give up
on their dreams.
