Welcome to my "Road to PyeongChang 2018" Online Fundraiser!
My name is Nessa Dziemian. I am a 2018 Olympic Hopeful Mogul Skier on the U.S. Ski Team. I need your help raising $7,000 to pay for my competition travel expenses and qualify for the 2018 Olympic Games!
As an unfunded athlete, a typical season is around $30,000. This includes travel, training camps, lodging, food, team fees, equipement, and much more. This season, my competitions are in Finland, China, Switzerland, France, Japan, Utah, Quebec, Alberta, and (hopefully) South Korea. With your help, I would be able to pay for my travels to the World Cup Tour stops and Olympic Qualification events, where I get my chance to qualify for Team USA in the 2018 Olympic Games!
To qualify for the Olympic Games for the USA, I must compete my very best during seven (7) Olympic Qualification events. Each Olympic event has a maximum of four (4) per each gender. I would need to win or get two (2) podium places to have a guaranteed spot on Team USA. If criteria is not made, discretion spots are available for those who have been achieving consistent higher results/have a good amount of FIS points. -- Essentially, if I ski my best, I have a good chance of representing the USA in the 2018 Olympic Games.
I first fell in love with Freestyle Skiing when I started at 7 years old. I dreamt about being an Olympic Champion, and I continued to chase this passion for 16 years. Throughout this journey, I have accomplished:
- over 150 career wins including NorAm Grand Prix, three Junior National Championships, and a National Championships
- a handful of World Cup top-10 finishes.
- two top-5 results last season.
- one of a few female mogul skiers who consistently throws cork 7's in competition.
- one of a few female mogul skiers who can throw a Backfull.
- first female mogul skier to throw a Cork 10.
However, I coudn't of done any of it without the support of my Mom and Dad, Nic, my family, the Lippman's, the Philipps' Family, my friends, my coaches, my doctors and PT's, the US Ski Team, Carrabassett Valley Academy, Loon Freestyle, Waterville BBTS, Park City United, Poc Sports, ID One USA, the ID One Foundation, New Balance, Hampstead Health and Fitness, Canobie Lake Park, all of my donors/sponsors, and all my fans. You have all kept me moving towards my dream, and I cannot thank you enough.
With less than 90 days until the 2018 Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea, I am more confident and hungry than any other year. I am excited for you to be a part of the fight. Thank you so much for reading and for considering a donation.
PS - KNEE FEELS GREAT!!!
